I Found a Catastrophic Health Insurance Plan for $182.00
After my last health insurance plan kept going up in price, i cancelled and went without health insurance coverage for almost 5 years. During that 5 years it seems i was asked many times, what type of health insurance i had? I never liked answering that question with, i don’t have health insurance and i always had that little bit of fear in the back of my mind… what if i did all of a sudden have a major medical emergency?
So i went to a website i found on the internet claiming to have low cost health insurance quotes and requested a quote. It wasn’t long before an agent in my area contacted me with several quotes. To my surprise there were insurance plans from $167.00 per month. I am a 52 year old single man and i thought my rates would be at least $250 a month or more.
After looking at several plans i chose one for $182 per month which covers me for 100% of all my medical and hospital expenses after a $2900 deductible. So no matter what happens, im ok with knowing the most i’ll ever have to pay in a medical emergency is $2900. That’s a lot better than worrying about a $50.000 hospital bill.
